The short version: play fairly, the story packs you buy are yours to keep, and we'll treat you reasonably if something goes wrong. The rest of this page is the detail behind that.
Sofa Heist is a party game for groups playing together in the same room. It's provided as a website (at sofaheist.com) and as apps for iOS and Android. The Classic pack is free with no sign-up required. Additional story packs and voice packs can be purchased separately.
You can use Sofa Heist for personal, non-commercial entertainment — playing with friends, family, or any group you're hosting. You agree not to:
Sofa Heist doesn't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, address, or any identifying information to play — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn't collected.
Story packs and voice packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions — once bought, they're yours for as long as Sofa Heist is available, on any device where you've entered your unlock code or restored your purchase. Full detail on how purchasing, delivery, and refunds work is on the Purchases & Refunds page — it's worth reading before you buy.
Sofa Heist — including its name, story engine, and all packaged story content — belongs to us. Buying a pack gives you a licence to play it; it doesn't transfer any ownership of the underlying content or code.
Sofa Heist is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device. We're not liable for group disagreements, arguments about who really was Sherlock Holmes, or any other consequence of a party game working exactly as intended.
We may update these terms, the game, or its pricing from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Sofa Heist after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
